There are quiet summers, and then there was BlockBen’s summer of 2026.
While pretty much everyone took some time to slow down – whether that meant beach days, the waterless Balaton, weeks of sitting quietly, or trying to make sense of Croatian pebble beaches – the past few months have been exceptionally busy at BlockBen.
A lot of new conversations, new opportunities, plenty of work behind the scenes and, most importantly: real progress – not just motion, but progress.
We are proud of what the team has accomplished, but perhaps even more interesting is what these conversations are telling us about where the market is heading.
Regulation actually started bringing MiCA regulated institutions and web3
For years, crypto rewarded speed. Today, particularly in Europe, structure matters much more than anything.
And we are seeing the consequences firsthand.
Web3 (open crypto world, blockchain etc.) companies are increasingly approaching regulated players such as BlockBen to explore how they can continue building, issuing and connecting with communities within the new environment and Web3-native companies adapting to MiCA, and businesses whose previous routes to the European market have become more complicated.
“Regulation has not only created a new framework for the crypto market, but has also opened up new B2B collaboration opportunities for us.”
The Road Ahead Is Now Quite Clear
Our management team will spend a considerable amount of the coming months on the road, meeting collaboration partners and platform clients around the world.
The objective is straightforward: build relationships, understand what serious market participants need today, and develop further long-term B2B partnerships.
Because something interesting is happening.
The things that worked in crypto five years ago do not necessarily work today. At the same time, business models, strategic collaborations and business structures that were previously difficult to imagine are becoming increasingly realistic.
A Difficult Market Is Also a Market for Building
2026 has, to put it mildly, hardly been crypto’s easiest year.
August, however, brought renewed market activity: Bitcoin climbed around 23% over seven days through August 26, while US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded more than $3 billion in net inflows during the month.
That does not tell us where markets go next. Nor should it. What it does show is that even after a difficult period, meaningful capital and market activity can return quickly.
And that is precisely why quieter and more challenging markets matter.
They are often when companies have the space to do the less glamorous work: structure partnerships, develop products, improve infrastructure, solve regulatory questions and build relationships that can be useful across future market cycles.
That is where our focus is at BlockBen.
The summer was busy. Autumn looks even busier.
Good thing we like building. 😄
